The national electricity grid has achieved a historic milestone, with renewable energy sources now accounting for 31% of total installed capacity — surpassing the government 2030 target nearly five years ahead of schedule.
The milestone was driven by a massive expansion of solar installations across the northern regions and the commissioning of three new wind farms along the coast. Combined, solar and wind capacity has grown by over 200% in the past three years.
