The Ghana Cocoa Board has announced a record-breaking harvest season, with production exceeding 1.2 million metric tons — a 15% increase over the previous season and the highest output in the country history.
Officials attribute the bumper harvest to a combination of favorable weather patterns, widespread adoption of improved farming practices promoted by the board extension services, and the rehabilitation of over 200,000 hectares of aging cocoa farms.
