National Tourism Board Promotes Cultural Heritage Routes
New guided heritage trails across five historical regions aim to boost domestic tourism and preserve intangible cultural practices.

The Ghana Tourism Authority has launched a network of Cultural Heritage Routes designed to connect visitors with the country richest historical and cultural sites while generating sustainable income for local communities.
The initiative includes five themed trails: the Slave Trade Heritage Route, the Kingdoms and Castles Trail, the Crafts and Markets Circuit, the Sacred Groves and Festivals Trail, and the Culinary Heritage Journey. Each route features guided tours, homestay accommodations, traditional craft workshops, and local culinary experiences.
