The national stock exchange has recorded its strongest quarterly performance in five years, with the benchmark composite index gaining 18.4% in the first quarter of 2026. The rally was led by banking stocks, technology companies, and energy sector listings.
Market capitalization surged by over 40 billion cedis as both local and foreign investors increased their participation. Trading volumes were up 35% compared to the same period last year, indicating renewed confidence in the market.
