National Athletics Team Breaks Three Records at Continental Championships

The national athletics team has returned home to a hero welcome after an extraordinary showing at the Continental Championships in Nairobi, where they broke three national records and secured a total of seven medals.
Sprinter Abena Mensah clocked a blistering 10.82 seconds in the women 100m final, shattering the previous national record of 10.95 set in 2019. In the men long jump, Daniel Kusi soared to 8.14 meters, surpassing the previous record by a remarkable 12 centimeters.
The crowning achievement came in the 4x100m relay, where the men quartet crossed the line in 38.47 seconds, setting a new continental championship record in the process.
