Local Football Club Crowned National Champions After Thrilling Final
The underdog team defeated the defending champions 2-1 in a dramatic extra-time finish, sending tens of thousands of fans into celebration across the city.

In what will be remembered as one of the greatest finals in national football history, Accra United emerged as national champions after a heart-stopping 2-1 victory over defending champions Kumasi Royals in extra time.
The match, played before a capacity crowd of 45,000 at the National Stadium, saw Accra United come from behind after conceding an early goal in the 12th minute. Striker Kwame Asante equalized in the 67th minute before captain Emmanuel Boateng headed home the winner in the 113th minute of extra time.
Scenes of jubilation erupted across the capital as fans poured into the streets to celebrate the club first championship in 18 years.
